What's an anniversary date?

The anniversary date is automatically calculated as one year (12 months) after the date Adobe accepts the member’s initial order or the date the member accepts a 3-year commitment prior to placing an order unless otherwise communicated by Adobe. If the member chooses to begin an extended paid-upfront term, the anniversary date would be selected prior to the member placing the first order. The anniversary date recurs each year on the same calendar date.

For example, if ABC Company’s first order is placed on January 16, 2024, then their first anniversary date is January 16, 2025, and their anniversary date is January 16 for each year thereafter.

Why is the anniversary date important?

The anniversary date:

  • Serves as the date each year when all subscription licenses will be renewed automatically. (Note: A customer may opt-out of auto-renewal.)
  • Determines when all licenses purchased throughout the subscription term co-terminate.
  • Serves as the basis for any daily proration calculations.

VIP Marketplace members may begin using licenses the day they are added in the Admin Console, and all licenses automatically renew on the anniversary date, unless auto-renewal is disabled, in which case the licenses will expire the day before the anniversary date.

Note: Some consumable products, such as Adobe Stock credit packs, may not co-terminate at the anniversary date. See Renewals for more details.
