WHAT'S HAPPENING
Upcoming changes to LWS reporting
As a result of a planned upgrade to Adobe’s financial systems, we will be making some changes to our data retention policy that will impact the length of time that data will be available for reports generated out of the Adobe Licensing Website (LWS) and other systems. This upgrade and the associated change to the data retention policy will enable faster access to data for Adobe customers and partners.
Effective April 21, 2025, the following reports in LWS will be limited to data beginning with Adobe’s Fiscal Year 2022 (December 4, 2021) through present. On an ongoing basis, data will be available on a rolling basis for a minimum of the previous three (3) fiscal years plus the current fiscal year.
The change applies to data from all Buying Programs – TLP, CLP, FLP, ETLA, VIP, VIP Marketplace – and is consistent with the 3-year time limit already in place for reports run out of the Reseller Console.
Examples:
- On April 30, 2025, reports will cover data from December 4, 2021 through April 30, 2025. (FY’22, FY’23, FY’24, and FY’25 YTD).
- On April 30, 2026, reports will cover at minimum the data from FY’23 through April 30, 2026 (FY’23, FY’24, FY’25, and FY’26 YTD). This is equivalent to the last three full Adobe fiscal years plus the current fiscal year-to-date.
List of impacted LWS reports:
This change impacts only the reports and views listed below. Customer data is not impacted.
- Licenses > Track Media & Documentation
- Licenses > Obtain License Certificates
- Orders > View Order Status
- View Return Status
- View Purchase History
- Reports > View Return Orders
- Reports > View CLP Purchase Summary
- Reports > View VIP Renewal Report
- Reports > View VIP Renewals
What is not changing:
Customer data, including customers’ serial numbers, pricing and SKU history, and contract information will not be impacted. There are no changes to the LWS menus, user interface, or other functionality.
Dates:
The dates used to calculate inclusion in reporting data are as follows:
- TLP, CLP, and FLP – Order Creation Date
- For example, a TLP order with an Order Creation Date of December 5, 2022 will be included in the reporting data available throughout Adobe’s FY’25.
- VIP, VIP Marketplace, and ETLA – Contract End Date
- For example, orders placed against a VIP Marketplace agreement with an Anniversary Date (Contract End Date) of December 5, 2022 will be included in the reporting data available throughout Adobe’s FY’25, even though the order may have been placed earlier. It will drop off no earlier than the first day of Adobe’s FY’26.
Other impacted systems:
This update will impact the Adobe Licensing Website (LWS) and the Adobe Ordering Portal (AOP). The Reseller Console and Admin Console are not impacted.
Note that as part of this system upgrade, several Adobe systems may be “curtained” for some time, during which these systems will not be available. Additional details on planned system outages will be communicated in advance as we get closer to the dates.
Reminder: CLP and TLP sunset dates
As a reminder, the CLP Buying Program is sunset effective February 28, 2025. This change is effective worldwide in all market segments.
The TLP Buying Program will be sunset on May 31, 2025, effective worldwide in all market segments.
Remaining CLP and TLP customers may migrate to VIP Marketplace for all future license purchases. If you have any questions on migrating CLP and TLP customers to VIP Marketplace, please reach out to your Adobe Authorized Distributor or Channel Account Manager.
