AUGUST 01, 2024 ISSUE
WHAT'S HAPPENING
Acrobat Sign 50-Transaction SKUs LOD September 1, 2024 in VIP Marketplace
Acrobat Sign 50-Transaction SKUs were published incorrectly on the August 2024 VIP Marketplace price lists. These SKUs were not intended as VIP Marketplace offerings and are being removed effective September 1, 2024. The September price lists (publishing on August 1 per the usual process) will list them with a Last Order Date of September 1, 2024 but will not have the usual “REMOVE” identifier. Direct partners should remove these SKUs no later than September 1, 2024.
Ability to change products for upcoming VIP Marketplace renewal orders
Effective August 1, 2024, VIP Marketplace direct partners can make changes to an upcoming renewal order’s product mix in advance of the Anniversary Date. If the customer wishes to add or change products at their Anniversary Date, direct partners can make these changes in advance by using an API call. Note that this capability allows direct partners to change products in advance of the renewal, but the renewal order will process on the Anniversary Date, if auto-renewal is enabled, or when the order is submitted manually.
- Changes can be made no earlier than 30 days prior to the Anniversary Date and no later than 3 days prior to the Anniversary Date.
- Changes can be made whether auto-renewal is enabled or disabled.
- If auto-renewal is enabled, the renewal will be processed automatically on the Anniversary Date and will be effective for the upcoming license term.
- If auto-renewal is not enabled, the Direct Partner must place the renewal order manually on the Anniversary Date for the upcoming license term.
- An API call can also be used to enable or disable auto-renewal. See below for important information about auto-renewal and Creative Cloud for enterprise customers.
Creative Cloud for enterprise offer line-up changes
This function supports the launch of Creative Cloud for enterprise Edition 3 and Edition 4 in VIP Marketplace on August 1, 2024, but it can also be used to make other product changes at renewal.
- For current Creative Cloud for enterprise customers (excluding VIP Marketplace 3-year commit customers,) auto-renewal will be disabled, because Creative Cloud for enterprise is being discontinued. Direct partners can use an API call to:
- Select Edition 4 (default) or Edition 3.
- Re-enable auto-renewal (unless the customer opts out.)
- If partners take no action, customers who have the legacy Creative Cloud for enterprise offers will have no corresponding licenses for their next term.
- For current Creative Cloud for enterprise Pro Edition customers, no action is needed. Customers with Pro Edition will auto-renew into Edition 4. (Partners should advise customers of the corresponding price change for Edition 4.)
Additional use cases
This capability can also be used to support other use cases such as Creative Cloud for teams to enterprise upgrades at renewal or product version upgrades such as Acrobat Standard to Acrobat Pro. Note that it cannot be used to add or upgrade Adobe Sign products.
