VIP Marketplace enables resellers to resell Adobe licenses that meet their customers’ needs directly on their online marketplaces. It was designed to provide streamlined automated purchasing, provisioning, and billing. A variety of term-length options, volume discounts, and product offerings help VIP Marketplace members—customer organizations of all sizes—meet their unique needs by purchasing as many licenses as they need in one flexible transaction.

A role for everyone
The VIP Marketplace program helps the following groups purchase, distribute, and manage Adobe software licenses:
Direct partners—Direct partners means direct Adobe Partner Connection (APC) reseller partners that contract with and purchase directly from Adobe. Direct partners are platinum resellers or distributors, who may manage their own distributor authorized resellers. Referred to in this guide as "direct partners", these entities manage and distribute Adobe VIP Marketplace licenses through their technology platforms, called "marketplaces," that are directly integrated with Adobe using APIs. A direct partner is responsible for supporting their resellers’ needs.
Resellers——A reseller may be a direct partner who sells directly to end customers or a distributor authorized reseller. Resellers resell VIP Marketplace licenses to customers through one (or more) of the direct partners. Resellers manage their customers through a direct partner’s Marketplace. Important: In some customer and partner-facing emails and documentation the term "account manager" is used to refer to a reseller.
Customers—Customers are also referred to as "VIP Marketplace members." Once their initial order is set up with their reseller, customers manage their licenses through the Adobe Admin Console, which functions seamlessly with a direct partner’s marketplace. For customers migrating from VIP to VIP Marketplace, the customer experience will be nearly identical since they will continue to use the Adobe Admin Console.

Cases where VIP Marketplace is not the right Adobe buying program at this time
VIP Marketplace is the primary Adobe buying program for your customers’ Adobe licensing needs, except in these cases:
- VIP members who are affiliates of a linked membership (available in VIP Marketplace in FY’24)
- Global customers who purchase using the Worldwide VIP price lists (available in VIP Marketplace in FY’24)
- VIP members in China.
