Key features

  • Roll credits. Spin words. Twirl titles—Animate titles, credits, and lower thirds. Start from scratch or with presets available right from the app. From spin to swipe to slide—your text is on the move.
  • Explosive effects. Mind-blowing results—Combine videos and images to create anything you can imagine. Choose exciting effects from hundreds of options, remove unwanted objects or people, and create VR videos to drop your audience right into the action.
  • Get animated—Set anything in motion with keyframes or expressions. Or use presets to kick off your designs for unique results.

  • Work seamlessly with Adobe apps—Create compositions in Adobe Premiere Pro. Use Dynamic Link to eliminate intermediate rendering between applications. Import from Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Character Animator, XD, and Animate. Use Team Projects to collaborate with editors anywhere. And integrate with 300+ software and hardware partners.
  • 3D Transform Gizmo—Rotate, scale, and position a layer. Similar to Adobe Dimension, the 3D Transform Gizmo gives you the power to see how far you have repositioned a layer, the amount of rotation you have applied to a layer, and how small or large you have scaled a layer.
  • Improved camera tools for navigating 3D—Take 3D projects further now that you can add multiple cameras to a scene for orbit, pan, and dolly-based viewpoints.

FAQ

What is After Effects and who is it for?

After Effects is the industry-leading animation and creative compositing software used by a wide variety of motion graphics and visual effects artists. It offers superior control, a wealth of creative options, and integration with other post-production applications — and it's available only in Creative Cloud.

Does After Effects still support 32-bit operating systems?

No. The performance benefits of native 64-bit support make it the best choice for the demanding technical requirements of working with video, particularly HD and higher resolution content. Offering only 64-bit support enables Adobe to optimize performance even further.

I use a Mac. How does the lack of 32-bit support affect me?

The lack of 32-bit support does not affect the majority of Mac computers that use Intel processors. The only Mac users affected by the lack of 32-bit support are those using Intel based Mac computers with Intel Core Duo (single-core) processors. Refer to the After Effects system requirements to make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements.

Will my existing plug-ins work with After Effects?

Any 64-bit plug-ins designed for After Effects will work in After Effects. Any 32-bit plug-ins for After Effects will need new versions designed for 64-bit computing. For more information, contact the plug-in manufacturers.
